Ariston Group is acquiring Riello's European boiler business from US conglomerate Carrier Global for 430 million US dollars. Carrier is thereby withdrawing from the residential and commercial heating segment and focusing on air conditioning and refrigeration technology. For Ariston, the deal represents a significant strengthening of its position in the European market for gas and oil boilers as well as heat pumps. The transaction is expected to be completed following approval by antitrust authorities.
